FAITH ON THE FAULT LINE: Mission Work in Israel

Should Christians continue to view Israel as the nation of God, even when most Jews reject Him? Should they offer blessings, even when those blessings are met with resistance?  Should Christians continue to reach out to a nation that rejects the very core of the One they confess and believe in? Instead of seeing Israel as fundamentally different, should missions approach the country as they would any other unreached group, with no special status but a commitment to equal outreach?

ISRAEL’S REGIONAL STANDOFF: 3 Narratives that define its failures

When so many nations are voicing discontent with Israel’s bombardment on Gaza, it usually points to underlying issues that merit serious self-examination and dialogue. A true and honest self-reflection on why Israel faces such deep-seated hatred from its neighbours can be seen through at least three main narratives: Biblical, moral and social

THE NEW PLAYBOOK: 10 political trends reshaping global leadership

Much has been said about the high-profile meeting on May 21 between the South African delegation, led by President Cyril Ramaphosa, and the American delegation, headed by Donald Trump. The meeting once again underlined the fact that modern politics is now defined by a new set of rules, where the pursuit of power and control often overrides core values, bringing global systems to a dangerous low point. SOUTH AFRICAN REFUGEES: the semantics of displacement

The question has never been whether the 49 South Africans have been traumatised or whether they feel victimized.  Crime is a reality in South Africa that no one, regardless of race, language, or profession, can escape.  However, the question of whether white Afrikaners qualify as refugees is highly debated. We need you!

A GENOCIDAL FAMINE IN GAZA:  the sin of spiritual bypassing

Western Christianity has failed the people of Gaza. Let’s admit it.  We have fallen short of our Christian mandate — something must change. Instead of a unified outcry from the global Christian community, a SPIRITUAL BYPASSING set in. Rather than sorrow, some defended the massacre. Rather than mourning, some rationalised the killings. Rather than standing for peace, some justified the destruction.

WHAT THE IRAN EXPLOSION TAUGHT ME: 5 steps in making Godly assumptions

On Saturday 26 April 2025, a massive explosion rocked a port in southern Iran, killing 25 people and injuring around 800 others. Upon hearing the news, I immediately made a calculated and informed assumption that the initial negotiations between the USA, Israel and Iran had collapsed, and Israel and America had finally carried out their threats to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities. I was wrong. But to be honest, we all, at one stage or another in life, embark on this perilous journey of making assumptions.  The challenge is therefore not how to stop making assumptions but how to make Godly assumptions and break free from the corrosive habit of making foolish assumptions.
