PROJECT HOPE: GAZA
In the end, we will remember not the noise of the bombs but the silence of the world.
A Gazan interpretation of a quote by Martin Luther King Jr
From Jerusalem to Gaza: a declaration of hope!
A Moment to Reflect
For too long, I have prayed and agonized over the suffering in Gaza. Today, an all-consuming famine looms, and thousands of lives hang in the balance. I realized anew that writing articles and talking about it just isn’t enough anymore—I have to act. And I believe there are many believers who share the same feeling. I know I cannot meet every need, but I also know I can make a difference in ONE life, and with the support of readers like you, reach even more.
We simply cannot remain silent in both words and deeds anymore. When those who know peace say nothing, silence becomes complicity.
The Crisis at Hand
After nearly 20 months of war, Gaza lies in ruins. While the world debates who is to blame, politicians argue about post-war scenarios and Christians discuss the Biblical position of Israel, the humanitarian catastrophe continues to unfold in unbearable ways:
- 100% of Gazans live with food insecurity, uncertain where their next meal will come from.
- More than 70,000 children are being hospitalized in Gaza due to severe malnutrition.
- More than 3,500 children under the age of five face imminent death by starvation.
- Approximately 290,000 children are on the brink of death.
- 96% of children in Gaza want to die and see death as imminent. 96%
- What if one of them were yours? What words would you choose in your appeal for compassion and support?
The Church Must Respond
Experts warn that the psychological scars from this war will shape an entire generation, creating a fractured future—not just for Gaza, but for the entire region.
Albert Einstein once stated, “No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.” This underscores that neither Israel nor Palestine, nor Mr. Trump nor Mr. Netanyahu, neither Judaism nor Islam, not even politicians or economists can offer lasting solutions to the current conflict. True resolutions can only emerge from a conscience that transcends the conflict—a conscience rooted in peace, reconciliation, and redemption. There is but one answer: the Church of Jesus Christ.
The GLOBAL CHURCH must therefore proactively and strategically navigate a path in partnership with the LOCAL CHURCH toward meaningful involvement, offering both support and active engagement. But it must be a path that not only provides relief but also reconciliation.
What if the Church in Jerusalem could reach out to the people of Gaza?
Our Ministry Partnership
Through my research, I connected with a dedicated Christian ministry, Jerusalem Evangelistic Outreach, which supports Gaza’s remnant Christian community, meeting both spiritual and physical needs. We, at Dia-logos and the Third Way, have joined forces with JEO to extend hope and support to the suffering people of the region.
The JEO Ministry (Jerusalem Evangelistic Outreach), under the leadership of Pastor Rami Fellemon, has long been devoted to supporting the remnant Christian community in Gaza. For years, they have worked tirelessly to meet both the spiritual and physical needs of the people. From the very onset of the recent and ongoing conflict, their discipleship team actively reached out to seekers and disciples in Gaza, offering spiritual encouragement and practical relief amidst their hardships.
How JEO Is Bringing Relief?
Through their ministry, JEO provides crucial aid in multiple ways:
✅ Food distribution – Providing bread and essential food supplies.
✅ Hygiene essentials – Offering diapers and hygiene packs for displaced families.
✅ Support for orphans – Caring for children who have lost parents.
✅ Medical assistance – Helping Gazans who fled to the West Bank in need of care.
✅ Kids’ clubs – Providing trauma support, hope, and biblical encouragement.
How Can Your Church Help?
We cannot do this alone. We need your help.
Our goal is to raise at least $15,000 (R270,000) to support JEO’s mission in Gaza.
This is more than charity. This is the Gospel in action. We are the Body of Christ, called to bring hope where there is none. You and your group can assist by:

Matthew 25:34 – 36 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
(40) ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
