THE EASTER OPTION: you, Jesus and Barabbas

In the court of Pilate it was never simply a choice between two men—Jesus or Barabbas. It was a choice between two ways: the spiritual WAY of Christ and the political WAY of Barabbas. And the crowd didn’t hesitate in making their choice. Their voices rose for political freedom, and they released the one who would secure that at any cost. But, before we assume we would have chosen differently, it’s worth pausing for a moment. Check this video. It offers one of the clearest and most profound explanations I’ve encountered.

UKRAINE – In the shadow of Easter.

In 2022, with a devastating war raging in Ukraine, Easter will be a time to not only call to remembrance the sacrificial redemption of a crucified Christ, but also a time to reflect on what we as Christians define to be the cornerstone of our faith. The pain and hardship endured by the people of Ukraine will remain senseless and meaningless unless we can view it from the shadow of the cross.
