WHAT THE IRAN EXPLOSION TAUGHT ME: 5 steps in making Godly assumptions

On Saturday 26 April 2025, a massive explosion rocked a port in southern Iran, killing 25 people and injuring around 800 others. Upon hearing the news, I immediately made a calculated and informed assumption that the initial negotiations between the USA, Israel and Iran had collapsed, and Israel and America had finally carried out their threats to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities. I was wrong. But to be honest, we all, at one stage or another in life, embark on this perilous journey of making assumptions.  The challenge is therefore not how to stop making assumptions but how to make Godly assumptions and break free from the corrosive habit of making foolish assumptions.
