PRAYING FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM: Religious duty or Christian manipulation?
Worthy News reports that more than 70 million Christians from 175 nations are expected to unite in prayer for Israel on October 4, 2026, as Jerusalem hosts the 24th Annual Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem. This may sound noble, even deeply biblical — but is it truly something the Christian faith requires?
PEACE IN ISRAEL HAS A PALESTINIAN FACE
If you are praying for the peace of Jerusalem, like Psalm 122 instructs, then take a moment to reconsider your prayers and realign your focus. PEACE already entered Jerusalem 2,000 years ago, on a donkey – and they crucified him. But Peace didn’t leave Jerusalem. Peace rose again and left His followers with a new instruction – this time not to PRAY for the PEACE of Jerusalem, but to WITNESS of the PEACE in Jerusalem.
