PROJECT ETERNAL LIGHT

A team from dia-LOGOS will soon travel to Lebanon and Syria, carrying in our hearts one simple desire: to strengthen and encourage the local Church as messengers of hope. We will meet and encourage those who are mending what darkness has broken, those gathering what violence has scattered, and those speaking life into places where despair has tried to silence whole communities.

To help ignite this movement of hope, we will bring together thirty‑eight pastors and ministry leaders from across Lebanon and Syria for a time of Koinonia — deep fellowship, shared encouragement, and spiritual mobilisation. Many of these leaders are carrying heavy burdens, often with very little support. This gathering will give them space to breathe, to be strengthened, and to be equipped to shine light into their communities again.

Alongside this, we will offer direct support to fourteen churches and ministries serving displaced families, widows, orphans, and vulnerable communities on the frontlines of suffering. In many neighbourhoods, these churches are the last remaining lifeline of hope — the only place where people can still find prayer, compassion, and practical care.

Since we launched the project in August the initial amount of US$7,000 (R110,000.00) has been reached through the faithful support of friends and partners.  For this we are deeply grateful.  A number of Syrian pastors have in the mean times asked to join our gathering and we would like to bless them as well.  The project amount has therefore been expanded with a further US$3,000 (R50,000.00). We once again appeal to our friends and supporters for assistance.  Every cent raised will be given to local believers.  This support will provide essential assistance to frontline ministries, and help launch OPERATION ETERNAL LIGHT as a sustained movement of compassion and presence in a region overwhelmed by crisis.
